Safe Activation is a security solutions that bounds the end-user completely to a web-server fully managed by the software (or media) provider.

Safe Activation is mainly dependant on the Internet connection. But Safe Activation has different levels of protection that satisfies the need of all types of customers.
Once: Only requires internet connection on the first run of the protected data. An additional option is also available on the request of the software (or media) provider which facilitates the activation of his product by a phone call and this option don't require internet connection at all.
Once-Per-Day: requires internet connection once in a day.
Periodical: Provides the software or media provider with the flexibility to define the periodical base on which the protected software (or media) will check on the web-server. But this technique requires the application to be connected to the web-server accross the internet all the time.

This feature is only applicable - on the request of the software (or media) provider - by enabelling the "phone activation" option.

On the request of the Software (or media) provider, the web-server can either be Softlock's own server or the provider can host his own web-server by purchasing the Softlock Activation Server Package.

Yes, sure any third parity can host the Activation Server and provide the Activation process as a service to the end-users provided that he has an agreement with the provider and has the titles under which the software (or media) was protected at the providers' lab.

Yes, Softlock packed the SDK with functions required to under-go the activation process programatically. Please refer to the manual for more information about the topic.

For sure, Softlock Solution provides a high level of flexability in the solutions provided. If you need to use Multi-User technique, then you will need the server license to be a Safe Activation and you are done.
